Artworks Gallery welcomes new members Nan Leaman and Janet King as Featured Artist during the month of February.

Leaman, a fiber artist, creates one of a kind wearables. Nan says, “I love working with color and creating texture through color and various surface design techniques.”  Nan’s pieces start out as white cloth, either wool or silk, then they are carefully dyed using a variety of techniques. King sculpts 3-D felt in unique abstract sculptures, traditional bowls and vessels, and  illuminated structures covered with a sheer felt. Janet also makes one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using extra soft merino, silk ribbons, natural stones, dichroic glass, fused glass and more. Janet says, “I love that everything I create is made from natural, organic and renewable raw materials.”
